WHAT WE LOOK AT
Share the provider’s deadline and required documentation when contacting our office.
The device’s condition and test information help guide repair or replacement.
The property’s use and utility requirements determine the appropriate protection.
A PRACTICAL PLAN
A backflow preventer contains mechanical components that need to function properly. A visible leak, a failed test, or a notice from the utility deserves attention, but visible appearance alone cannot establish that the assembly is working correctly.
Send us the utility notice, device information, and any prior test results. Required assembly types, test intervals, and reporting procedures depend on the connection and the water provider. We can confirm the service and documentation needed before scheduling.
For example, JEA provides a residential irrigation backflow checkup program and guidance for connections that use the normal water service. Use your own utility’s current requirements rather than assuming a neighbor’s schedule applies to your property.
