Overview
We seek an experienced, reliable, and versatile Journeyman Plumber capable of handling the full spectrum of our work, from emergency service/repair calls to water softener installations to backflow testing. You must be comfortable working independently, interpreting blueprints, communicating clearly with customers, and maintaining the highest safety and quality standards on every job site.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will span commercial and residential service environments:
- Diagnostics & Repair: Accurately troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, including leaking pipes (in-wall, slab, yard), fixture malfunctions, and general mechanical issues within plumbing systems.
- Installation & Assembly: Plan, assemble, and install pipe sections, fittings, valves, fixtures (toilets, faucets, disposals), and appliances (including Water Heaters, Purifiers, and Softeners), adhering strictly to local plumbing codes and blueprints.
- Technical Execution: Perform installation and maintenance on all common piping materials (CPVC, PVC, PEX, Copper, Metal Pipe). Utilize hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment machinery.
- Project Support: Conduct Whole-Home Repiping projects, perform necessary Leak Detection, and conduct service-related remodeling work. Experience performing heavy lifting on construction sites may be required.
- Customer & Site Management: Professionally interact with customers, clearly communicating work orders and repair options. Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings as needed for accurate work.
- Documentation & Compliance: Utilize a provided iPad to accurately create invoices and document all work in the Housecall Pro tool. Follow all safety protocols and building codes.
- Schedule: Standard 40-hour work week, with overtime (OT) consistently available for those looking to maximize earnings.
Experience
- Experience Level: Minimum 4+ years of professional, documented plumbing experience, with significant focus on large-scale installation and assembly. (Note: While 4+ years is listed, we encourage licensed Journeymen with 3+ years of strong field experience to apply).
- Technical Proficiency: Expert ability to read and accurately interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan layouts and ensure correct installation.
- System Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of plumbing systems, including Water Heater Installation/Troubleshooting.
- Material & Tool Mastery: Proficiency working with all common piping materials (CPVC, PVC, PEX, Copper, and Metal Pipe), utilizing hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding machinery.
- Complex Tasks: Proven ability to execute complex tasks unassisted, including Whole-Home Repiping (Water Service/Drains) and Leak Detection.
- Site & Logistics: Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations are required.
- Additional Skills: Experience in assembly, remodeling, or general maintenance is advantageous.
- Compliance & Ethics: A positive attitude and strong commitment to honesty and integrity are essential. Must possess a Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
